My work moves between Godot, Rails, React, and AWS. I like learning unfamiliar systems, building tools that help other people, and finding the slow or brittle part that needs focused attention.

Web product

Walktober

I led development of the API and React web experience for Walktober, HES’s most popular corporate walking challenge.

Its tree offers unique animations each day and reflects each user’s step history, using the shared Rails platform and scene system I helped build at HES.

Platform API

I lead development of a shared Rails 7 API serving our React web client and two native mobile apps.

I collaborated on its versioned, swappable-service architecture and built authentication, serialization, real-time systems, logging, team, and social features.

Shipped game

HalleyFolk Odyssey

I programmed this small adventure platformer for Happy Slaying. I built the dialogue, level loading, state, and scripted encounter systems.

It shipped on Steam in Locally Sourced Anthology I: A Space Atlas.

About me

I started in frontend work and kept following the systems behind it.

I started at HES maintaining AngularJS applications and grew into React product work, Rails APIs, and AWS infrastructure. The work I enjoy most involves learning a new technical space, building tools that help another team, or improving a system until it feels fast and dependable.

Outside work, I build games as a solo developer and with Happy Slaying. We shipped HalleyFolk Odyssey, and our sophomore title, I Am Night, is under active development.

In July 2026, I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a B.S. in Game Programming and Development and a 4.0 GPA.
